Office Hours, Appointments and Cancellations

We see all patients on an appointment basis. We make every effort to honor all time commitments and request that you extend the same courtesy to us. If you cannot keep an appointment, please notify us immediately.

Emergency Care

We recognize that you can have an emergency situation arise and we will do our best to respond to your problem promptly.If you do have such a problem, please call us as early in the day as possible. If a dental emergency arises when our office is closed, a paging service number will be given to you on our office answering service.Dr. First may be reached at this number.

Treatment Plan

In order to have successful treatment, both you and we must understand fully the condition of your mouth and the treatment necessary for you.We will explain your case before any treatment is begun. We will discuss both the time necessary for treatment and the fee involved.If any questions arise as to the treatment or fee, please ask for and explanation.

Recare Visits

We hope you share in our belief that regular preventive dental health care is a sound investment. While the responsibility of returning for this treatment rests primarily with you, we will provide the service of sending you a written reminder when it is time to return. Please telephone for an appointment when you receive this notice. We also offer patients the opportunity of scheduling their next hygiene appointment six months in advance while they are in our office in order to reserve the time most convenient for you.

Fee

We ask that the patient portion of the fee be taken care of on the day the expense is incurred. We accept Master Card, Visa, and Discover credit cards or offer special financing for your convenience.

For Our Patients with Insurance

We provide our patients the service of filing insurance claims for each visit. In order to provide this service, our patients must bring a completed insurance form at the time of their visit to our office. If there is treatment in excess of $200, we will predetermine your benefits with the insurance carrier if required.

Your care is a relationship with us. We are very pleased with the care you have selected. We value this relationship. Your dental benefits are a contract with your insurance company. We assure you our recommendations are based on your care, not insurance coverage.

Dental insurance is not medical insurance. Medical insurance is primarily designed to cover major care that could cause a serious financial burden to a patient. In most cases, dental insurance is primarily directed toward offsetting the cost of preventive care.

Our experience has shown that insurance companies are more responsive to the premium payer (Patient/Guardian) not the payee (Dental Office).
